Thru View Flow meter for water, compressed air, and common fluids (photo)"Series T" Flowmeters for Pipe sizes to 4" & flows to 500 GPM liquids or 5750 SCFM gases

Typical Flow Applications:

Features & Benefits:.

SPECIFICATIONS

ACCURACY: ±2% of 100% flow rate, ±1% optional.

REPEATABILITY: ±1/2% of indicated flow rate.

RANGEABILITY: 20 to 1 average.

MATERIALS: Brass, steel, or T-316 stainless steel for body, brass or stainless for sight tube and internals. Polysulfone for meter sight tube on transparent tube units. Stainless internals, which tend to be more abrasion resistant, can be supplied in brass bodies for liquids that contain abrasive particles.

“O” RINGS: Buna N standard; Viton, Ethylene-Propylene (EPR), Geothermal EPR, Silicone, Neoprene, Kalrez, and Teflon optional.

SCALES: Standard direct reading (GPM or LPM Liquid, Sp. Gr. = 1.00, or SCFM Dry Air @ 100 psig, 70°F.) or percent of flow. Scales are photo-etched, anodized aluminum. Special scales for other flow units or media conditions, or in other materials for corrosive environments, available at extra cost.

PRESSURE RATING: Up to 500 psig, depending on meter, temperature, and service.

TEMPERATURE RATING: Up to 500°F. for steel bodied meters and all stainless units, or 350°F. for brass models depending on pressure and service conditions. Higher temperature models can be special ordered.

OPTIONS: Flo-Sentry and Flo-Guardian High & Low Alarms, KIST Systems (4 20mA), Flow and Mass Courier Remote Displays, high temperature service raceway (“Hot Top”), bumper option for surge and shock conditions, upper gland option, panel mount kits, threaded flanged connections, pressure gauges installed on the meter, special/multiple scaling, oxygen cleaning, and safety devices available. Custom options such as welded flanged connections, electroless nickel plating or other coatings, viscosity calibrations, etc., by quotation only.

MEMFlo’s BUMPER OPTION FOR SURGE CONDITIONS
Unavoidable shock or surge conditions, such as steam purging, are unavoidable in some fluid systems. To minimize the chance of meter or float damage, MEMFlo offers the “bumper” option shown above. An elastomeric cushion of a fluid compatible material is mounted inside the sight tube or on top of the meter float. Mounting location depends on the meter construction, options, and flow capacity.

It is important to remember that some surges are so severe that no amount of cushioning can guarantee protection from damage. Harsh surges should be designed out of the system.

HIGH TEMPERATURE RACEWAY OPTION FOR FLUIDS OVER 275°F.

If exposed to prolonged temperatures of 275°F. or higher, the standard external plastic raceway may begin to bubble, distort, or even melt.

To accommodate temperatures up to 600°F., MEMFlo offers a “Hot Top” option for hot liquid, gas, and steam applications.

The standard raceway is replaced with the aluminum assembly shown above. Two set screws in the mounting rings hold the assembly in place. A small strip of safety glass covers the raceway and indicator.

Selecting MEMFlo Series T Flowmeters

To choose a MEMFlo Series T Flowmeter, please use the Sizing Calculators to obtain the correct equivalent flow. Find either the closest or next larger flow (whichever you prefer) in the “Designator & 100% Flow Column” of the Capacity Tables. Please review the Operating Limits in the specifications to chose a model style rated for your service conditions. To build the proper model number, please see Page 6.
