The average turndown (ratio of the maximum and minimum flows) of MEMFlo Flowmeters is 25 to 1 double that of industrial rotameters. (MEMFlo is an excellent rotometer replacement!)

MEMFlo Flowmeters require no special meter runs. Installation is typically one-tenth the cost of an orifice plate and flanges.

Standard accuracy is ±2%, with ±1% optional. Repeatability to ±0.25% of rate. Our unique design eliminates hysteresis and parallax. Because the indicator disk is always close to the inner wall of the sight tube, flows can be read even in dirty fluids over the entire range.

MEMFlo Flowmeters have excellent tolerance to suspended solids, and with only one moving part, there is nothing to break or wear out.

All standard MEMFlo Flow Products can be disassembled and reassembled in less than five minutes. No special tools are required, and the body remains in the pipeline. The meter can be completely cleaned in place, or new flow internals installed to change the capacity or service.

Meters to 500 GPM or 5750 SCFM are offered in brass, T-316 stainless steel, PVC, and CPVC. Sight tube options include these materials plus polysulfone or borosilicate glass. MEMFlo also offers meters in special materials, such as P-72 copolymer with titanium internals for wet chlorine service. High pressure units for up to 5000 psig, or meters for vacuum service can be provided. MEMFlo meters are used on water, lubricants, compressed air and gases, vacuum, steam service, acids, caustics, freon, mild slurries anything from gin to laughing gas!

How to Disassemble MEMFlo meters w/o removal from the pipeline (shut off flow & vent pressure before starting, & drain lines if using hazardous fluids):

Remove cotter pins (other models may have bolts or a snap ring securing the site tube). Lift the meter sight tube straight up with a slight rotating motion

Remove the flow internals for inspection or cleaning. With most models, you can change meter capacity by replacing these internals with a different set.

Place the static, O-ring seal on the sight tube, and press the tube down on the meter with a slight rotation. You should feel a slight "give" when the O-ring seats. Replace the lock rings, snap ring, or flange bolts depending on the meter model.
